Dear Residents, 

With effect from Tuesday, 1 November 2022, Sengkang Town Council will be aligning the operating hours of all basketball courts across our town. Please take note that the basketball courts will be opened from 8:30am to 9:30pm daily.

The revision of our basketball courts’ operating hours was initiated by the results of a survey that the Town Council had recently conducted with residents living at blocks that are located near the basketball courts.

As part of the Town Council’s response to the recurring feedback received in relation to the noise levels generated from the basketball courts, the survey was designed to obtain suggestions from residents who were most affected by the noise at various timings across the day.

The survey allows the Town Council to gradually mitigate the recurrence of noise issues on the ground and to serve our residents better through our engagement initiatives.

With the gradual easing of COVID-19 measures, we would also like to urge all residents to remain vigilant and considerate so as to reduce the risk of transmission within our community.
