Woven into the fabric of our nation is the enduring kampong spirit — a tapestry of community, unity, and heartfelt support. This spirit is symbolised by the corporate colours of Aljunied-Hougang Town Council (AHTC) and Sengkang Town Council (SKTC), layered in a way that evokes the rich, vibrant diversity of kueh lapis. They serve as a reminder that while we come from multifaceted backgrounds — as reflected in the diverse group of children — and have walked different paths, our strength lies in moving forward together as one.

This year marks the continued collaboration between AHTC and SKTC in commemorating National Day — a reflection of our growing connectedness and shared commitment to building a better future together.

The design also pays tribute to iconic highlights of the National Day Parade — from the Red Lions’ daring descent to the soaring fighter aircraft fly-past — stirring reminders of our courage, excellence, and resilience.

The moon and five stars call to mind Singapore’s national symbols, representing a nation bound by unity, shared values, and a collective vision for happiness, prosperity, and progress.

As communities come together this National Day, the shooting stars echo our hopes — illuminating the way forward with optimism and togetherness.
